
An Italian editor and photographer who was the first to introduce the soft lighting style in filming cinematic scenes in Egyptian cinema, although he was one of the first Italian photographers who worked in cinematography in Alexandria. He had extensive experience in filming the first news productions in the history of Egyptian cinema. He also participated in filming the movie “Layla” in 1927 in collaboration with the Egyptian photographer Hassan El Helbawy. He was the favorite photographer of major directors such as Ahmed Khalal and Henry Barakat. He also directed three films: “His Excellency Kashkash Bey” in 1932, “Radio Anthem” in 1936, and “My Wife No. 2” in 1937, among others.
