Mert Yazıcıoğlu was born on May 10, 1993, in Istanbul, Turkey. After completing his primary, middle, and high school education in Istanbul, he enrolled in the Business Administration Department of Istanbul Aydın University. During his studies, he decided to pursue a career in acting and began taking acting classes, eventually leaving his business studies halfway through. His first step towards acting came when he visited the set of a TV series where a friend was acting. He appeared in a brief scene in the film "Dedemin İnsanları" and later began appearing on screens with the series "Kayıp Şehir" while also receiving acting training. He initially joined Cast 33 agency founded by Sumru Onat and later met Ümit Çırak. He started taking acting lessons at the Mota Eğitim workshop with Ümit Çırak. From 2013 to 2016, he portrayed the character "Baran Şamverdi" in the series "Karagül," which aired on FOX. He then played the character "Fırat" in the series "Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz" and portrayed "Korkut" in the series "Mehmed: Bir Cihan Fatihi." In 2018, he portrayed the character "Cenk" in the film "İyi Oyun." From 2018 to 2019, he played the character "Mahir Yetkin" in the series "Bir Litre Gözyaşı," which aired on Kanal D. He portrayed the character "Sinan" in the Netflix series "Aşk 101." Since the end of 2023, he has been portraying the character "Cüneyd Güneş" in the series "Kızıl Goncalar."
