
Alejandro D. Orengo Colón is a Puerto Rican director and editor, born in Rhode Island and raised in Mayagüez. He holds a Master’s in Film Directing from the Savannah College of Art and Design and works as an editor on short films, music videos, commercials, and documentaries, while also developing personal projects. His films, such as Alex y Fabio Ya No Están (2013), Anacrusa (2022), and Asterión: ó Si Te Metes Con El Toro (2024), have been screened at international festivals. He has also participated in Cortaditos, an initiative by the Alliance Française of Puerto Rico, with Asterión: ó Si Te Metes Con El Toro (2024) and Caen Hojas Blancas (2025). As an editor, he has worked on El Jacho: Una Leyenda Puertorriqueña (2024), which won multiple awards at the LUSCA Film Festival, as well as En Duda, Siempre a la Izquierda (2024) and Trapo Sucio* (2024). He is currently developing his first feature film in collaboration with director Edwards Andrés Martínez.
