Chris Witt is a picture editor based in Los Angeles, California. With over 20 features and dozens of shorts, his work focuses on crafting emotive moments that capture the imagination. Venturing outside the English language, he has cut films in German, French, Chinese, Arabic, and Hindi. Regardless of the language, he seeks to explore the universal honesty of our humanity. His films have screened at over 100 festivals across the world, including Cannes, Busan, American Film Institute, and Tribeca. Among the notable films are Kavi, an Academy Award nominee and the Hindi feature Gali Guleiyan, nominated for the 2018 AACTA award for best Asian Film. His film 892 is an official selection of the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. His passion for crafting motion pictures is matched only by his love of film photography. He regularly shoots film stock left over from movie productions in his manual 35mm camera and develops the rolls in his kitchen. The only thing dearer to him than his two cinematic crafts is his wife and two beautiful daughters.
