Alex Saks is an American film producer. She studied history at Wake Forest University, then moved to Los Angeles, where her career began with an unpaid internship at the Mark Gordon Company. From that internship, she secured a position as an assistant and, over time, built up experience in film financing and development. In 2016, Saks co-founded the film production and financing company June Pictures with Andrew Duncan. The company was behind films such as The Florida Project (2017), Wildlife (2018), Book Club (2018), Thoroughbreds, Dude, and Fun Mom Dinner. After allegations against Andrew Duncan in 2017, Saks bought out his shares. The company ultimately shut down. In 2018, she founded Page Fifty-Four Pictures, an independent entertainment production and finance company. Under this banner, she has produced or been involved in films such as Chemical Hearts (2020), The Glorias (2020), Mack & Rita(2022) and Fool’s Paradise (2023), among others. Saks has also taken on higher-profile projects that transition between indie and commercial cinema, including No Hard Feelings (2023). Furthermore, Saks has earned recognition for The Florida Project (2017) and Wildlife (2018). For The Florida Project, she was nominated for several awards, including the Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Feature and the Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature, among others. For Wildlife, she was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature.
