A multi-hyphenate writer/producer/director, Nathan Scoggins started his career with a series of award-winning short films, two of which were released by Lionsgate as part of the "Crave" anthology. His first feature film as a writer/director, "The Least of These", gathered a remarkable cast including Isaiah Washington ("Grey's Anatomy", "Crooklyn," "Get on the Bus," "The 100"), Bob Gunton ("Shawshank Redemption", "Patch Adams", "24"), and the late Robert Loggia (Oscar-nominee for "Jagged Edge", "Big," "Scarface," "The Sopranos"); it premiered on STARZ and streamed on Netflix before being released on DVD by Universal. He was then hired to write a number of different projects, including a faith-based comedy for Lionsgate, "Riven", an adaptation of the novel by NY Times best-selling author Jerry Jenkins, and "God Grew Tired Of Us," about the lost boys of the Sudan. Collaborating with a group of friends and fellow filmmakers in the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl competition, Scoggins contributed to the creation of the successful "Sling Baby" commercial, which aired during the 2012 Super Bowl, and co-directed "Fashionista Daddy", which aired during the 2013 game. Other feature projects followed, including writing projects for Andrew Panay (the producer of "Wedding Crashers"), "Horrible Bosses" producer John Rickard, and Scott Bernstein ("Straight Outta Compton"). Additionally, he co-wrote the TV movie "The Perfect Summer," which premiered to 3M viewers on UPTV before its DVD release, and helped produce the independent feature "Red Line". In 2022, his next feature as writer/producer/director premiered at the prestigious Austin Film Festival before being released theatrically -- "What Remains," starring Cress Williams ("Black Lightning"), Kellan Lutz ("Twilight", "The Expendables"), and the late Anne Heche ("Six Days Seven Nights", "Volcano"). The film is now available on SVOD, TVOD and PVOD. He directed two episodes of an upcoming TV show for Sony Affirm, and is in development on a number of different projects. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three daughters.
