Akane Mitani, born April 15, 1997, in Kanagawa Prefecture, is a retired pornographic actress and AV Idol Japanese active from 2017 to 2025. Formerly known as Akari Mitani, she changed her stage name in late 2023 after joining the LiStar agency. Her retirement was officially announced for July 2025, marking the end of a prolific and versatile career. During her period as an independent actress, she participated in more than 400 pornographic films. She made her debut in the adult film industry in July 2017 under the label of a "college student." Later, in 2019, she clarified that it was a promotional persona. In an interview she claimed that she began to have an interest in pornographic videos in high school. Later, due to her interest, she met an adult film director through a mutual acquaintance. On March 12, 2019, she participated in a Vanilla Sky program. The same year she was nominated for a breakthrough actress at the "Adult Broadcast Awards", and won the "FLASH" award. She was also nominated for best actress at the "FANZA Adult Awards 2019".
