Jeanie King is an Executive Visual Effects Producer and VP of Global Production at Industrial Light & Magic. In her senior leadership role, she oversees the entire spectrum of visual effects production, from budgeting and scheduling to creative staffing and coordination across ILM’s global studio network. She joined ILM in 1994 after gaining five years of experience in film and television production in Los Angeles. Her early career highlights include her debut as a Features Visual Effects Producer on the film Jarhead (2005), which earned her and her colleagues a Visual Effects Society Award nomination in the category Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Feature Motion Picture. In addition to her work on Jarhead, Jeanie King co-produced the visual effects for Battleship (2012). That collaboration garnered a 2013 Saturn Award nomination from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films (USA) in the Best Special Effects category, which she shared with Grady Cofer, Pablo Helman, and Burt Dalton. Her talents extend beyond film into immersive and themed entertainment projects. She was part of the team behind Star Tours: The Adventures Continue (2011), a Special Venue project that earned a 2012 Visual Effects Society Award nomination for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project. Beyond these nominations, Jeanie King is recognised as a member of prestigious industry organisations, including the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Visual Effects Society (VES), and the Producers Guild of America (PGA).
