Megan Tremethick is a Cornish actress, filmmaker, writer, and producer. She is best known for her role as Queen Ginnarra in The Reign of Queen Ginnarra (2025), directed by Lawrie Brewster, as well as for playing the Sorceress Nemain in Hex Studios' 80s-inspired sword & sorcery film The Slave and the Sorcerer (2024), also directed by Brewster. Megan also played Nicole in The Vance Institute (2023) alongside Hannah New, Angelina in Howard J. Ford's The Lockdown Hauntings (2021) starring Candyman (1992)'s Tony Todd, and Sandy in the paranormal chiller Ghost Crew (2022). Megan started performing in theatre from an early age before transitioning to screen acting. She pursued her passion for film by participating in BFI Film Academy's Chalk (2016). In 2021, Megan made her directorial debut with the short horror film Slot (2022), inspired by Giallo horror films such as those by Dario Argento. In 2024, Megan directed short film's inspired by two H.P. Lovecraft stories, The Haunter of the Dark starring Hellraiser (1987)'s Nicholas Vince and Stephen Kerr, and Revenge of Innsmouth, starring Laurence R. Harvey of The Human Centipede films, both of which achieved notable success through crowdfunding campaigns. In her latest project, Spoiling You, Megan serves as the director, writer, and plays the role of Miss Mutter. This psychological horror film explores the unsettling side of ASMR, where Megan plays a timid young woman who adopts the online persona of Miss Mutter, a seductive ASMR host with a dark secret. The film is supported by Lawrie Brewster and Hex Studios, and draws inspiration from classic J-Horror and horror anime. Megan also stars alongside Jane Merrow in classic British horror studio Amicus Productions' In the Grip of Terror (2025), a chilling anthology film that pays homage to the studio's classic horror roots, which will be released in 2025.
