Álex Mineralex is a stop-motion director from Valladolid, Spain. His work explores the depths of loneliness through an imaginative and tactile lens, creating handcrafted worlds where visual storytelling and emotional resonance merge with artisanal precision. Trained in Film Direction and Lighting, he completed an internship at Estudio Citoplasmas (Barcelona). His career as an animator shows a constant evolution: from his early short films such as "Larry the Bellboy" (2008) and "El sonido de la guerra" (2009), through "I'm Dreaming of a Pink Rabbit" (2010) and "Leo & Nora" (2012), to the music videos "Perro Lámpara" (2013) and "En cierto modo… te quiero" (2015), followed by the micro-short "Teardrop Story" (2016) and his most recent film, "Harvey & Maude" (2026). He currently leads the audiovisual department at Andén 47 (Valladolid), runs stop-motion workshops, and teaches photography at Cinema Camp, where he guides emerging filmmakers in the art of bringing things to life.
