Morgan Bowles is a writer and director from Portland, Oregon. He is best known for writing and directing the short films "Roses" (2020) and "La Esencia" (2018). His passion for film was established at a young age, and by high school he was certain about becoming a professional filmmaker. After graduating high school, Morgan attended Scottsdale Community College in Arizona to study motion picture film production and editing. Here he learned the foundations of filmmaking and what it means to fully produce a movie from start to finish. It was in Scottsdale where Morgan wrote and directed his first short film, "La Esencia" (2018). With an associates in arts for film production and editing Morgan moved up north to British Columbia to finish his film studies and build a network at Vancouver Film School. There he completed a one year intensive film production program, specializing in directing and editing. It was here at Vancouver Film School where Morgan wrote and directed his award winning short film "Roses" (2020). He now lives in Los Angeles, California working as a freelance writer, director and first assistant director.
