The 47th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was held on November 22, 1973, in New York City and broadcast to viewers live on NBC that same day from 9:30 a.m. to noon EST. It was hosted by Kent McCord, Martin Milner, and Pat Boone. The lineup featured eight giant helium balloons, 31 floats, and 16 marching bands.
