CHAD TYLER is a native Washingtonian and has been a proud member of SAG AFTRA since 2001. His training includes, but is not limited to, two years towards a B.F.A. in Theater with an Emphasis in Acting, at West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.V. He has also attended a voice class at The Studio Theater, an acting course at Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y., as well as numerous SAG AFTRA workshops. He also continues to develop his chops with the support of his acting coaches (including Michael Wilson--N.Y.C. & Mark McKinnon from McKinnon Acting Studio--Hyattsville, Maryland). Chad has attended two beginning voice-over courses and is currently attending another online. (Skills Success—online; Bailey/Hartman Voice Over—Pittsburgh; Billy Collura from CESD Talent Agency & Jen Sukup from Shut Up & Talk--N.Y. City.) His most recent on-camera principal role was in the first season of the dramatic web series, Jake’s Brother. This was his first series regular role, and his first web series show. It is expected to be released in December. Chad landed co-star roles on Netflix’s, House of Cards & HBO’s, Veep and a recurring day player role in HBO’s, K Street. Chad’s most recent acting performance was in a play reading hosted on Zoom by The Riant Theatre (Off-Broadway), in a One-Act called, Entr’acte, by Anthony Fusco. In 2019, he landed his first Off-Off-Broadway leading role on stage as Mark in, Limited Engagement: A Comedy About Death, for the 2019 Winter Fest at The Hudson Guild in N.Y City. Other Leading roles include Matthew in, Private Eyes, w/ Journeymen Theater Ensemble; Hamlet in a touring performance of, Madman William, w/ Actual Reality Theater Company; & Orlando in, As You like It, at The Folger Shakespeare Library. Chad had the extraordinary opportunity to work at The Shakespeare Theater in The Lansburgh, as the Swing Understudy in Oscar Wilde’s, Lady Windermere’s Fan, starring Dixie Carter and Nancy Robinette. It was an experience that he will never forget.
